 Basic structure of a narrative article plan: This type of plan has two parts–General, and Section Specific.  They are as follows:

Examples of narrative article plans, and of narrative articles can be found later on in this section of the book. 
 
     When writing the Section Specific Narrative Article Plan, try to use key words or very short phrases (and not full sentences).  You are only trying to note down the key ideas.  Later, you can “develop” these words and phrases into full sentences.  If possible, you might write the plan on the computer, so that you can constantly alter and edit the plan.  If you have more time to carefully think about your plan, and add to it, or take away from it, at your leisure, you will make a better plan, and hence, a better narrative article.  Otherwise, use scrap paper.
