There are some other “sentence types”, but they will not be discussed in detail here. They are as follows:
Type Seven: ----- ; ----- ; ----- .
Type Eight: ----- , ----- ; ----- , ----- ; ----- , ----- .
Type Nine: ----- , ----- , ----- ; ----- , ----- , ----- ; ----- , ----- , ----- .
As can be seen, they are very long, and almost never used in normal, everyday writing. You may ask, “Why have them?” They are very complex and artificial. However, trying out these sentence types is a good way to develop your sentence writing skills, as using them will force you to be creative, within the limits of the sentence type.
There are also other types of sentences, such as Periodic, Balanced, Rhetorical, and others. These types of sentences are well-covered in the standard writing books, and will not be discussed here. For these other types of sentences, please refer to “A Handbook Of Writing”–ISBN-7-5600-0700-7, as well as other writing books.
