5) Characters:
(a) William Wallace (“Braveheart”) – brave – clever – a mighty lover – believed in freedom for Scotland.
(b) King Edward I of England (Edward “Long-shanks”) – cruel – selfish – cunning – a good strategist.
(c) William Wallace’s first love – beautiful – innocent – was killed – indirectly controlled William Wallace’s later actions.
(d) Robert Bruce – future King of Scotland – inexperienced – cheated / taught by his own father to learn how to become a leader.
(e) William Wallace’s second love – a French princess.
6) Plot Summary:
(a) William Wallace’s family killed – his uncle adopts and educates him.
